A HUGE supply of Class A drugs has landed two men with lengthy sentences.

On September 7, 2014 police searched an address in Wordsworth, Bracknell and found Christopher Watchorn and Jason Stanbridge in possession of three kilogrammes of amphetamine and some cannabis resin.

Both men were arrested and then convicted and sentenced in early 2016, with a total 30 month sentence handed out at Reading Crown Court on April 11.

Following their conviction confiscation proceedings were commenced under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002.

Bracknell News:

Christopher Watchorn

On Thursday Judge Joanna Cutts, sitting at Reading Crown Court, ordered that 45 year-old Watchorn, of Acacia Avenue, Sandhurst, pay £31,268.80 within three months or serve a default sentence of 18 months’ imprisonment.

Stanbridge, 47, of Essame Close, Wokingham, was ordered to sell his only asset - a BMW - and pay £420 within six weeks, or go to prison for three months.

Financial Investigator Steve Tedder, of Thames Valley Police’s Asset Recovery Team, Economic Crime Unit, said: “This result sends a clear message to drug dealers in our communities that Thames Valley Police will use all powers available to them under the legislation to deprive criminals of their assets."
