STARS from stage and television will gather on Sunday for a charity show being described as the biggest variety spectacular ever seen in Windsor.

The Mane Chance Gala is being held in support of a charity which rescues and rehabilitates old, abused and abandoned horses.

It was founded in 2011 by actress Jenny Seagrove, whose partner Bill Kenwright owns Windsor's Theatre Royal where the show is being staged.

Miss Seagrove has starred regularly at the theatre and will appear in the gala. Her charity is based on a 47 acre site in Compton, Surrey where the horses are integrated within the local community regularly hosting visits from terminally ill children and those with special needs.

The star line-up will feature Anton du Beke from Strictly Come Dancing, Lance Corporal Richard Jones - winner of Britain's Got Talent, Rula Lenska, X Factor winner Joe McEderry and Debbie McGee.

Also contributing will be the great Virginia McKenna OBE - star of Born Free and a legendary animal welfare campaigner, Antony Costa from Blue, Richard Hadfield from Collabro – winners of Britain’s Got Talent and a host of other famous faces.

The starry line-up should not be a surprise as Mr Kenwright is a leading film and theatre producer, as well as chairman of Everton Football Club. Miss Seagrove is a film and television star - most recently in the Judge Deed series.

She said: “We are absolutely thrilled that so many wonderful artists are supporting our charity gala at the Theatre Royal Windsor. The evening will raise much needed funds to help us continue the work we do helping both horses and people. Help us help them is our motto. We are eternally grateful for the help.”

Tickets for the gala are still on sale - priced from £35 - £65, all proceeds to Mane Chance Sanctuary. To book or for further information contact Theatre Royal Windsor’s Box Office on 01753 853888 or visit
