FIREFIGHTERS rushed to a home this afternoon after a blaze broke out in a kitchen.
Crews from Bracknell, Ascot and Wokingham Road were called to Bullbrook Drive at around 2.30pm on Friday, February 24.
Crews spent less than an hour battling the small blaze.
“The incident was dealt with quite promptly,” said Michael Fullwell, watch manager at Bracknell Fire Station. “I do not know how it started, I believe it was due to some unattended cooking.
“When the call came we were told there were occupants in the house at the time so that's why Ascot and Wokingham attended but fortunately we were able to put it out quite quickly.”
He added the occupant was unharmed but the home was left uninhabitable.
