A SCHOOL girl has exceeded her target as she gets set to have her hair cut for charity.

Keira Suman, 11, from Langley, will be having around eight inches cut from her hair to donate to the Little Princess' Trust and she has already raised more than £600, beating her £500 target.

The Long Close School pupil will be getting her haircut at Loaf hairdressers in Langley on October 26, and her mum, Simerita Kuttan-Suman, is proud of what she has achieved.

She said: "We initially targeted £200, and then we put it up to £350 and then £500, but we have had lots of generous donations.

"She has always had her hair long, and never really had it short and she has only ever had an inch or so off at a time.

"Raj [father], Oran [brother] and I are very proud she is raising money for charity at such a young age."

It took Keira less than a week to raise her fundraising target of £500, and the hair will go to the charity to create wigs for children who are battling cancer. It costs £350 for the charity to make a wig.
