EASTHAMPSTEAD Park students did well to improve on last year's GCSE results in English and maths.
Of the 129 candidates who sat papers this summer, 56 per cent achieved A*-C grades in both these core subjects, up three per cent on last year.
At the school, 85 per cent of pupils performed better than expected in English compared with nationally last year (73 per cent).
There were individual success stories as well, such as Emily Porter who gained seven A*s and four As. Chloe Norton and Daniel Rose both achieved two A*s, six As and two Bs, while James Barratt was not far behind with two A*s, five As and two Bs.
The school scored -0.05 and a fine grade C- on the new Progress 8 and Attainment 8 measures respectively.
Headteacher Liz Cook said: "I would like to congratulate all of those students who have worked hard to achieve these results. They are a reflection of their commitment, as well as the dedication of the staff at the school, who have worked with them.
"These results will stand them in excellent stead when they start the next phase of their education."
