CHILDREN have been left without a playground just as summer is about to hit as a result of selfish vandalism and thefts.
The children's playground in Langley Memorial Park, located off Langley Road and High Street, has been left with empty frames where a swing should be, missing play items and a climbing frame barricaded with metal fencing, and both residents and Slough Borough Council say they have had enough.
Gordon Moffatt, a father-of-one, said a number of play items have been out-of-action since he started taking his three-year-old daughter there around 18 months ago but the climbing frame was only recently cordoned off.
A spokeswoman from Slough Borough Council said: "We are as frustrated as residents are - it costs us money as well as the taxpayers."
