A YOUNG girl had to be rescued from a tree after falling and getting her leg trapped.
Firefighters cut away branches to free the nine-year-old after she slipped while climbing.
The girl was said to be in pain but did not require any medical treatment.
It took place at around 4pm on Sunday at the South Ascot Recreation Ground in Victoria Road.
Crew manager Simon Drew, from Bracknell fire station, said: “She was trapped in the tree after she slipped down and got her leg stuck.
“We cut a bit of the tree away and managed to get her out.
“She was in a little bit of pain but we checked her over and she was ok.”
The girl was then left in the care of her parents.
