A SLOUGH based business has made a much needed contribution to the area's Community First Responder team.

Karl Storz - endoscope gave a donation of £1,000 to help develop the volunteer group who carry out lifesaving work, responding to emergency situations on behalf of the Ambulance Service.

A spokesman for Karl Storz said: “Karl Storz Endoscope (UK) Ltd is delighted to support the Slough Community First Responders. The charity does fantastic work serving the local community by providing life-saving treatment in emergencies.

"We are proud to support the charity to help them to afford the additional equipment needed to aid them to continue with their outstanding service, and in doing so, attract similar help from the local communities and companies”

Community First Responders receive full training from the South Central Ambulance Service in the use of defibrillators and other basic life support techniques.
