A CHILD has been given a lifetime entry pass to Legoland Windsor after his mother gave birth to him in the staff car park on her way to hospital.

Bracknell parents Daniel and Janine Atkinson were on their way to Wexham Park Hospital on August 30 after Janine started to go into labour.

However just as they passed the amusement park in Winkfield Road, Janine had an overwhelming urge to push, forcing them to pull into the staff car park.

Daniel's mother, who was a passenger, then called an ambulance and as soon as it arrived, Janine was hurried from the car to the vehicle.

After 35 minutes she gave birth to their fourth child, Lucas, at 8.31pm, who weighed in at an impressive 8lb 4 1/2 ounces.

The pair from Great Hollands, who are already parents to Nathan, 8, Madison, 6, and Oscar, 4, all pupils at Great Hollands Primary School, say the funniest thing is that little Lucas, has the park listed as his place of birth.

Daniel, who works as a builder, told the Bracknell News: "I was quite panicked and worried and it was weird because the park had obviously closed but all the staff members leave that way and saw us and a paramedic came over to us as well!

"My other kids absolutely love their new brother and they thought I was lying at first when I told him where he was born, we have been before as a family!"

Legoland Windsor has now given little Lucas a lifetime entry pass to the park to mark the first birth the amusement park has had.

What a lucky little fella!
