FAMILIES spent the day meeting new people and catching up while having lots of fun.
St Mary’s Church, in Church Lane, Wexham, held a Family Fun Day on Wednesday, inviting along current and new members of the church to try out activities indoors, safely away from the pouring rain outside.
Sandra Horth, young church leader, said: “The day involved not just children who normally come to St Mary’s, but the children and families in the area.
“The children painted, cooked and made lots of crafts all representing each day of creation, followed by a picnic lunch and then games and singing.
"This is the second time the church has held the fun day event which also gives parents of the children who come along the chance to meet, mingle and chat with one another and so extending the community for the parish."
Mrs Horth added: “I enjoyed the families all together and interacting.
“The highlight was seeing everyone get on so well, playing so well.
“It was a joyous, happy atmosphere"
and a"All the visitors seemed to thoroughly enjoy themselves.”
