  • SLOUGH BOROUGH COUNCIL
    (VARIOUS ROADS, SLOUGH)
    VAISAKHI ANNUAL PROCESSION
    (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2010 Slough Borough Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order in accordance with Section 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles (with the exception of vehicles proceeding along the entire length of the following roads:-
    The Frithe between Berryfield and Knolton Way; Knolton Way between Almons Way and Wexham Road; Wexham Road between Norway Drive and Grasmere Avenue; Shaggy Calf Lane between Wexham Road and Stoke Road; Elliman Avenue between Stoke Road and Stoke Poges Lane; Stoke Poges Lane between Elliman Avenue and Landsdowne Avenue; Bayliss Road between Stoke Poges Lane and Woodlands Avenue; Woodlands Avenue between Baylis Road and Lake Avenue for its entire length.
    The reason for this Order is to enable the Vasiakhi annual procession to take place and to enable marshals to carry out their duties in respect of the same effectively. The proposed Order will come into operation on Sunday 18 April 2010, from 09:30 at the Frithe to 16:00 at Baylis Junction with Woodland Avenue.
    There will be no diversion route. A rolling closure shall be operated by marshals as the procession progresses along its route. Appropriate signage will be lawfully displayed on the affected day along the route and pedestrians will still have access.

  • SLOUGH BOROUGH COUNCIL
    ST MARY’S ROAD
    (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2010 Slough Borough Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order in accordance with Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles (with the exception of vehicles over 6ft 6ins and over 7.5 tonnes) proceeding along the entire length of St Mary’s Road, from it’s junction to Maryside to the entrance of Deseronto Trading Estate.
    The reason for this Order is to facilitate trief kerb works at each of the separate junctions.
    The Order will come into force on 12th April 2010 and continue for a period of 18 months. It is anticipated that the works will be carried out between 12 April 2010 and 23 April 2010 or any subsequent days until the work is completed.
    Local diversions will be in place and the appropriate signage will be lawfully displayed until the work in completed.
