Looking For Block of Flats Insurance?

If you've invested in property recently, you may be looking for block of flats insurance. Many property insurers offer a comprehensive policy which protects you against all manner of mishaps from fire, lightning, earthquake, riot and malicious damage to name but a few.

Make sure your block of flats insurance policy extends to cover all aspects of your property, including fixtures and fittings; furnishings and décor; gas, water and electrical equipment; roads, pavements and parking areas.

Ensure too you have taken out Employers Legal Liability cover if you run a business from your property, and Property Owners' Liability cover in the unfortunate event of an accident or injury befalling a resident, visitor or passer-by.

You may also at some time find it necessary to provide alternative accommodation should a structure become damaged or uninhabitable. A good block of flats insurance policy could repay you as much as 30 per cent of such costs.

If damage is caused to your property, bear in mind the cost of the clean up operation, possibly sourcing and repairing the cause of the problem, and loss of revenue due to leaked fuel supplies. Again, a good block of flats insurance policy will mean you don't end up out of pocket so you can sleep more easily at night!
