A DELI that has gone from "strength to strength" is celebrating a decade of serving the community.
The Good Food Deli, in Duke's Ride, Crowthorne, reached its 10th birthday last month, with owners and village residents Julia King and Roland Fruin marking the occasion with balloons and champagne.
Mrs King had only a little experience in the food business before taking on the deli with family friend Mr Fruin, but the pair have since managed to build up a loyal customer base and also offer catering for a variety of functions.
Mrs King said: "I hadn't done much cooking and Roland certainly hadn't had any experience. It was like the blind leading the blind, a real learning curve, but I think we've gone from strength to strength.
"We like to feel we've built the business up and we have a huge amount of people coming in every day - normally more than 200.
"Over the years a lot of our customers have become regulars and we think of them more like friends really."
Mrs King and Mr Fruin, whose respective partners are also directors at the business, serve up a myriad of baked goods in the deli Mondays to Fridays, 7am-5pm, and a weekend team on Saturdays.
