THE ROYALS have only offered new deals to four of the ten players whose contracts were due to run out this summer.

Fans favourite Glen Little who made only two appearance for the club this season due to injury is amongst those who have been offered terms to stay at the club.

Experienced defender Michael Duberry, 32, has also been offered a new deal along with goalkeeper Ben Hamer, 20, who spent the majority of the season out on loan at Brentford, and midfielder Scott Davies, 20, who returns to the Madejski Staduim after a loan spell at conference champions Aldershot.

Amongst those leaving the club this summer is midfielder John Oster, 29, who scored just three goals in three years with the Royals and Ecuadorian defender Ulises De La Cruz, 34, after moving to Reading on a free transfer at the start of 2006/07 campaign.

Director of football Nick Hammond said: "I would like to place on record my thanks to all the players who will be moving on.

"They have all shown great professionalism and we wish them all the very best for the future."

Graham Stack, 26, John Halls, 26, Adam Bygrave, 19, and Aaron Brown, 24, will also depart when their contracts expire this summer.
